Jiffy Lube, Bedford, MA - oil cap left off following oil change - filter not changed - yet to hear from headquarters

RE: Jiffy Lube, Bedford, MA - oil cap left off following oil change - filter not changed - yet to hear from headquarters this complaint is with jiffy lube in bedford,mass. i took my BRAND NEW $26,500.00 SUV to have the oil changed for the first time at 3000 miles. my husband watched as they struggled to get the oil filter off and could not budge it off.

They decided since they could not get it, just to leave it in. when we left jiffy lube, we did not know this and the other mistake that could have cost us our lives or severe damage. our oil cap was left off and sitting on top of the radiator.we took a day trip about 4 hours from our home with our 2 children age 2 and 4 months. when coming home on the highway, we noticed smoke coming from under the hood.

we pulled over and the smoke began billowing from the hood and underneath the vehicle. oil had been splashing out and going all over the engine and the bottom of the hood.

it was quite a mess and we had to have the entire thing detailed because the oil was baked on. we contacted jiffy lube and they denied it at first and then the guy who did the oil change apologized for his mistake.

the assistant manager offered us a %15 coupon off the next oil change. however, anyone can get more than that off the next oil change just by looking in the local newspapers for a $5.00 off coupon. have yet to hear from headquarters...it has been almost 2 months. thank you
