From day one, customer service is abysmal, both online and in-office. Even today when I tried to cancel my phone service (my annual contract is just about up - cause for celebration), they told me I had to call back tomorrow to cancel because their cancellation system is not working.
I have experienced no phone service in many locations throughout the country, including on many streets within my home town. When I do make a connection, literally half of the time the sound is distorted or I am cut-off.
I called Nextel shortly after getting the annual contract and was informed of my obligation through the end of the contract. Only four more weeks now and I'm out of this contract...that is, if they will accept my cancellation when I call back tomorrow.
