RE: Complaint Re.: Flight #671 - KLM
Flight # 671 Boarding time: 15:10 Take Off: 16:10
I'd like to thank you in advance for taking the time to read my letter. I must mention that I am very pleased with the service I received from your crew on board but I do have one complaint.
I had taken a flight yesterday morning from Athens to Amsterdam. I had an eight hour stop over in Amsterdam and I later took the connecting flight to Montreal.
As I have mentioned above, the boarding time was at 15:10 and take off was suppose to be at 16:10. There was a delay until 18:30 due to some electrical problem. I understand that our safety comes first but what about our comfort? I was extremely restless and tired and the announcement was made much later after we had boarded that there was electrical problems being taken care of.
We literally sat in the plane for over 2 hours knowing that we had a six and half hour flight ahead of us to Montreal. I was very disappointed in KLM for making us wait for that amount of time in the plane. I paid $1230.00 for my trip and I truly did not expect this long period of waiting in the plane prior to take off.
Thank you, A. Reizian

We were delayed TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW from Montreal with A/C problems - on their DC 10 plane. This happened two nights in a row and finally they sent a 747 to take all the passengers from the preceding two nights to Amsterdam. THIS DC 10 IS LIGHT YEARS OUT OF DATE - ALWAYS A PROBLEM IN COLD WEATHER (I have flown 7 years in a row to Nairobi on the same flight number out of Montreal in the evening) - WHY ARE THEY USING THIS ANTIQUATED AIRCRAFT? We waited 3 hours each of the two nights on the aircraft (them checking the problems both nights) while food was there - we were not served while waiting - the food was just wasted - and we returned to the airport inside both nights to be bused to the hotel - minus 20 both nights! TOTALLY OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY WITH KLM!!!!!! Why would you let 250 people sit on the plane waiting for it to be fixed BOTH NIGHTS IN A ROW with all that food - but not serving anyone. AND OF COURSE when the flights were cancelled - the hotel had no food at midnight! GO FIGURE !!!!
