I had reserved a small truck a month ahead of time (putting down the same $80 deposit on my credit card) and even called the day before to confirm and make sure everything was set. Of course they said it was. Oh, but to my surprise the morning of the move, the truck was NOT there!!!

The most important thing, the transportation that determnes whether or not you can physically make the move you've probably been planning for almost a year, the freinds who have taken off a day of work to help you, your previous apartment that won't allow you to come back to spend the night, and the other million things that you do to make this move possible, has all of a sudden been taken away from you because a world-wide, supposedly, trusting truck rental company forgot how to run there business and instead rents trucks to everyone in the US on the same day!

Why can't they say...."NO, we do not have any trucks available for you on that date"! I know, how about they invest in more trucks??Hasn't anyone that works with U-Haul ever moved before? I mean, who is the president of the company. He/She should wake up, drinks tons of coffee and read these letters. It's so ridiculous and sad that people have to go through this. Moving is stressful enough, but then to find out only a couple hours before you have to move that there is no truck available! Luckily, there was a "BUDGET" rental place down the block who made every effort to find a truck for us and sure enough they came through for us. So guess who I'll be using next time......
