RE: Capital Credit Card

In 1995 a business partner after seeing a comercial on Tv about putting $200 down and receiving $400 (double) to open a new account with Capital One credit co. decided that we both should get a credit card to make it convenient to purchase items for the business. My business partner had filed in the past for bankrupcy. He was a former Merchant Marine Officer. He put his $200 .

He received a credit of double his amount. I opened a separate account I put $200 down I received $200 worth of credit. I had never filed for bankrupcy. After using the card for about four months I decided the Capital One card was not worth it because the interest was not worth paying for on my own money. I used up my $200 which I payed I called and explain to a rep , who gave me his name as Thomas I no longer wish to be a user of their card.

This card I have never used since 1995. This company has billed me on an unused card from 1995 to the present for a card I have not used since I cut the card in 1995. When I call the explaining why they are still billing me to this date $780 + they explain that this is interest I ask ON WHAT they cannot explain. I PUT $200 down I close the account I had used $200. Why am I still being billed. Someone Please respond to me. I felt the lending practice was bias and racially motivated.
