Date: Thursday, August 23, 2001 10:35 AM My stepdaughter was going overseas to Spain for a month. I contacted MCI (my long distance carrier) and inquired about international calling rates. I was quoted .07 anytime, anywhere. I thought that was too good to be true, so I questioned the MCI rep thoroughly and she ended our conversation with a confirmation that the rate was correct. My husband didn't believe it so he called himself the following day.

Again, same answer, different rep. Well I received a $1000 bill the next month. Instead of .07 per minute, I was charged 7.00 per minute. I disputed this and was told by MCI's dispute department that it was a legitimate bill and I am obligated to pay it. Is MCI doing that bad that they have to cheat their customers out of money and is it worth losing customers?
