RE: Giant Van Lines - www.giantvanlines.com - shipped household items from IL to CA - dining table delivered with legs missing - company refuses to compensate for price of a new dining table I hired this company for shipping my household items from IL to CA. At the time of the pick up, they seperated the legs of my dining table from the top. When they delivered the items, the legs of the dining table were missing. I contacted the company immediately and notified them about it.
The delivery happened on 12/26/2002 and till today( 4/1/3, which is more than 3 months) they have not sent me the legs. Instead, they gave me conflicting information about the legs and compensation. I have talked to their dispatch department and customer Service( including their Superviser) many, many times.
Ater a long time waiting, calling, mailing and sending emails I have had to buy a new dining table in order to live! They have refused to compensate me for the price of the new dining table, too. Of notice, I have complied to my committment and they have been fully paid for the delivery charge
