RE: Geico Insurance - auto accident claim denied due to a pre-inspection form not already having been filed with Geico
My complaint is about Geico Direct ...........Geico Insurance.......
We recently obtained an insurance policy from Geico Insurance for automobile insurance. Without going into a lot of detail, one of the insured vehicles was involved in an accident, we filed a claim, and were informed by Geico that that vehicle was not covered because a pre-inspection form had not been filed before hand. Which they say is a part of their policy.
We purchased the policy in Dec. of 2002, and the vehicle was in the accident in Feb.2003. So we were told by the 1st associate that it would probably fall under the grace period. She then told us the steps to take......which we did. We were told by the next associate that it wouldn't fall under the grace period. We have never talked to the same associate twice.
We belive that the policy and or policies carried by Geico and their Associates are border line deceit. I would advice anyone not to purchase any kind of insurance coverage provided by Geico or any of Geico Associates.
Thank You
