RE: Allied Carpets, UK - poor service experience with regard to Abbey National carpet insurance claim

My complaint is about Allied Carpets, specifically the insurance section which deals with Abbey National.

They are not customer focused at all, I waited in from 7.30am Saturday morning for an insurance assessor to call. This he did, however we didn't hear him, he left the card just under the letterbox flap, we wasted the whole morning because of this.

The only helpful person has been Rachel Clayton who is the MD's PA.

Has anyone else had such bad service from them?

Sorry for my not giving you all the info, the business is Allied Carpets, they have shops all over the UK. The section I am complaining about is the insurance side, they work on behalf of Abbey National who we insure our property & home contents with. Allied Carpets send round the loss assessor to establish the damage and what they will allow us to replace it.

I had an accident with the oven and burnt my kitchen carpet. Hope this is enough info if not please come back to me.

Regards

Loraine Sawyer
