RE: The Picture People, Collin Creek Mall, Plano, TX - purchased membership with understanding that would get "any two" picture sheets in exhchange - then didn't get any two sheets for free, as promised

To Whom it May Concern: I was at The Picture People at Collin Creek Mall in Plano Texas with my mother and son. We went in to get his 3 y/o pictures made. An employee (Bill) ended up talking us into buying a membership ( we have had it in the past and over the last two years have spent hundreds of dollars); we had a coupon for a "free 8X10" and he said "if" we bought the member ship we would get 2 free sheets. We asked several times if that meant "ANY" two sheets free since the coupon said "8X10" and he said over and over again "YES". So we went ahead and got the membership and had my son's pictures made. An hour later we went back for the pictures and the girl who brought them to us said pick your free sheet and 8X10; well needless to say we were confused since Bill had told us "ANY" 2 sheets and he came out and sat with us and once again we asked him if we really got "ANY" 2 sheets free and once again he said yes. So we picked our pictures and several frames; with the assumption we were getting "ANY" 2 sheets free. And the only 8X10 we chose was a black and white picture which is not part of any special. When we went to check out Lindsay asked us where our free 8X10 was and we said we were getting the sheet of wallets and 5X7 as our "ANY" 2 sheets free. She said no and she would have to check and Bill said no. After he had been telling us over and over we could get "ANY" 2 free. I was very upset and never once did they offer to work with me on the situation; so we had to sit down and rethink all our pcitures and I put back about 70 dollars worth of pictures and frames (3-flower frame for 16.00, the rubber ducky frame for 8.00 and the grandma frame for 16.00) b/c they upset me so much and were so rude. I went in that store in a great mood and had wonderful pictures made and then I left very upset. I have worked in customer service for over 9 years and you NEVER let a customer leave that unhappy. Especially a good one. We still spent over 60 dollars and now have a membership we didn't even want. I am very disgusted now with that store and if the pictures had not been so good I would have asked for a full refund on the membership and gone to JCPenney's. I will not go back to the Picture People at Collin Creek Mall and depending on how this is handled I may not go back to any Picture People location. So in essence they made a customer very upset and lost 70 dollars worth of sales today and who knows how many in the future. I have a lot of friends with young children that I have recommended to Picture People and the treatment we got today at that store is also worth sharing. I am sure something will be done to rectify this situation but I will not go back to the store at Collin Creek. If I have to I will drive an extra 20 minutes and go to a different mall. I hope to hear from someone soon regarding this matter. Sincercely, Christy Samuel Durant OK 74701 The membership is under Rebecca Griffin Richardson TX 75081

the coupon you had clearly stated 8x10 or 10x13 these are the ONLY coupons they give out with the ocasional percentage off sheets aswell and the portrait club free sheet can be any size beside a 10x13. dont be stupid because you were trying to get what you wanted out of a technicality
