RE: daisys2roses.com - chared twice for the same order - no reply to 3 e-mails
I recently ordered some flowers from an internet site called daisys2roses.com. The site crashed whilst I was placing my order so I rang their phoneline instead. On the phone I was assured the order had not gone through and proceeded to place the order over the phone. the website had also stated that if the flowers were ordered by noon on Thursday 27th March they would be delivered before Mother's Day.
Upon checking my bank statement I noticed I had in fact been charged twice for the flowers. I contacted the company who first said they were sure I wouldn't have been charged twice and then, when I insisted I had, said I would have to fax my bank statement to them before they would issue a refund.
Also, the flowers failed to be delivered until Monday, two days later than they had said. I have no private access to a fax machine and my bank are unwilling to fax the statement for security reasons.
The bank have informed me that they can do a switch query on the transaction but that it could take up to six weeks to get the refund. Is there any other way I can get my refund? I have e-mailed the company three times and have received no response to any of my e-mails.
Surely the company must be able to check their own records and see that they have charged me twice. I would be very grateful for any help you can give me. Yours faithfully, Catherine Bolton.
