Orbitz.com reserved a car for me (confirmation #EZ247879) thru EZ Rent A Car. When I called EZ for shuttle service to their facility for my car rental, on April 17th, 2003, they informed me that they had no vans or any vehicles available and that they would not honor my reservation.

 

Can you imagine the panic my family felt? We're in Miami and the few car rental agencies at the airport had very few vehicles left during this Easter week. Needless to say we had to settle for an Expediton (we had a mini van reserved) for over 3X the price quoted by Orbitz/EZ Rent A Car. They had quoted $344.88 and I paid $1156.90 thru Royal Rental. I will not feel justified until I receive monetary retribution for the difference.

 

I feel EZ Rental and/or Orbitz should stand by the reservation. I have documentation, through the website, with a confirmation # and rates. I did contact Orbitz thru email, and they have advised me to go directly to EZ Rent a Car, since the quote came from them. They basically washed their hands of it. You don't even know the stress this situation put on our vacation. I look forward to hearing from you. I have all the documentation you will need. Karen Boozer
