RE: Supratelecom - unable to switch service to Supratelecom - terrible service experience
I applied for supratelecom service after hearing about it from a friend. he explained that he has never had any problems and it is cheaper than Bell South so I decided to speak with the company first. The costumer service rep(William who could barely speak English) tried to explain the company to me.I finally made up my mind to give it a try. I told him that I would like to switch to their company.
He said that an order had to be placed and this was in late October early November(???) He placed the order. I waited 21 days with no response. I placed a call to them once again and the rep. stated that they were going through a legal dipute with Bell South so it's going to take alittle longer. Finally the case was over and I called them once again they said that I would have to place another order and wait another 15 days. I waited with no response.
Finally I received a welcome package in the mail saying thank you for choosing Supratelecom and telling me about what they have to offer so I called them because I wanted certain features. I called them in Jan. 03 and stated what I wanted (call waiting, three way calling, and caller Id plus a feature they offered that prohibits anyone using your phone for long distance calls in which you need a code) to get these features took 5 business days. i waited and from then on thought that I was with Supratelecom and about a month later I receives a bill from AT&T saying I owe $122.00 for long distance calls. I immediately called AT&T and said that I don't owe them any money.
I never subscribed to them. They told me that AT&T was routing my calls through them. AT&T called Supratelecom(conf. call with me) and came to the conclusion that Supratelecom was in the wrong and AT&T has been calling me to collect Their money. Now I have no Long distance but Supratelecom is telling me that I do.
When I need to call Long distance I have to use a calling card. I am switching my to another telephone company ASAP!!!!!!! Please learn from my mistakes. From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Friday, 18-Apr-03 00:00:00 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
