Circuit City - mailed in, but did not receive e-machine rebate from Circuit City

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on April 26, 2002:

RE: Circuit City - mailed in, but did not receive e-machine rebate from Circuit City Subject: COMPLAINT AGAINST CIRCUIT CITY - MAIL IN REBATE

I buy an E-machine Computer Tower with monitor from circuit city, 5789, Mowery Avenue, Newark, California (Phone 510-796-6020). on 1-18-2001. When I buy computer, sales associate gave me four mail in rebate coupons. I mailed all coupons in time to related departments.

I got three mail in rebate(s). But I did not receive one mail in rebate of $100.00 from circuit city.

After a long wait I sent a reminder to Mail-in-rebate Center of circuit city, P.O. Box 8979, Young America, MN 55551-8979, on 0.06.2001, but heard nothing. On 9.18.2001 and 10.18.2001, I sent certified mail with receipt to Mail-in-rebate center. Circuit City returned the same letter WITHOUT OPEN affixing a stamp OFFER EXPIRED.
