RE: Curcuit City, Jantzen Beach - poor experience shopping for MP3 player
Hello there,
I hope this can make your web pages, because people should know they are being attacked personally by circuit city. My husband and I went into Circuit city during Christmas time to buy our son an MP3 player. Shopping there to start with is miserable because the staff sales personnel are just as informed as to where things are in their store, and various brand name performance as we are.
After we made our selections we stood in a check out line for quite awhile right along with everyone else. At our turn, the cashier asked for our name and phone number. Like everyone else we do not enjoy getting calls from the multitude of solicitors, so we respectfully declined. She said she had to have the information in case we lost our receipt. I assured her that I was responsible enough to keep up with my own receipts and again respectfully declined to provide information.
I tucked my receipt away into my wallet just like I do all of my other important receipts and we left. What happened next was deplorable... a couple of months later I was going thru my receipts like usual, and found where the name would be instead of something respectful like "customer declined" it said "Fat Boy". My husband happens to be 6' 2" and 270 lbs.
It took forever to get any kind of apology, instead they offered a $25.00 smack in the face. I had to get nasty to get any kind of apology, and when we did get one, she refused to take personal responsibility, instead blaming it on their network, and saying that this response is customary, which absolutely makes it worse, because I now know they do this to all of their customers. I still happen to have the receipt if you would like a scanned copy. Missie L.
