RE: Worst quality Digital pictures from Hitachi Digital Camera
Dear all
I feel really very bad about Hitachi on it's indecision, solw action, in-experience, non-commital, on solving the simple problem.
This problem was not settled for past 6months. Right from the date of purchase till now every body(technician, sales engineer, Service engineer, Service Manager) take a look, but do not give any solution. Recently the Sales manager took the 1394 PCI card to Japan and could not find any problem with the card. So the problem is not with card or software but with Hitachi Digital Camcorder.
First of all THIS IS NOT AT ALL A DIGITAL CAMCORDER. THIS IS EVIDENT FROM THE FACT THAT, HITACHI CAN NOT SUGEST ANY 1394PCI CARD AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET THAT SUPPORTS HITACHI'S CAMCORDER. With this email I request Hitachi to do any one of the following.
Take back my Camera and Refund full money
Take this SO CALLED DIGITAL CAMCORDER and RETURN ACTUAL DIGITAL CAMCORDER. Last but not least, Hitachi must return my items borrowed for their evaluation at Japan asap. I also like to thank Mr. Michael of Hitachi who helped me to do the above testing.
Thanks bala

RE: Hitachi VM-D 965LE Digital camcorder - poor quality Digital pictures from Hitachi Digital Camera
Dear all,
I bought Hitachi VM-D 965LE Digital camcorder 3months before assuming that Hitachi is global brand, but disappointed totally since it doesnt serve even basic functions. I bought it from Louis photo & Electronics at Singapore. Right from the beginning the digital out put quality was extremely bad. Digital output from my Camcorder to Personal computer is totally garbled; image is split into 2 halves and seen with coarse grain. We have installed IEEE1394 PCI card (hardware) and MGI Videowave III V3.5 (Software) to our personal computer to receive digital input. I am very sad and upset on the technical knowledge and capability of the Hitachi service centre. It was shocking to know that they don't have sufficient knowledge and IEEE1394 card to check and repair it.
When I enquire Hitachi service centre, I was asked to change IEEE1394 PCI card and reinstall both hardware and software. I did change everything with the help of computer hardware specialist and found no improvement on images. Later I was asked to send it to service centre and I sent it to them on 23rd march. After many phone calls they returned the camcorder to me on today after keeping it for one month without checking it. I asked them to check and show me the digital out put, but they denied it because they do not have IEEE1394 card. I am surprised to know why 'consumer Electronics Giant Hitachi' do not have 'IEEE1394 card' costing just S$75??!!.
So I took it to my home and tested my camcorder in my house and found having the same problem. In my opinion Hitachi service neither have proper tools and spares nor have properly trained manpower to repair camcorders. By this email I request Hitachi Japan and Hitachi Singapore to provide quick and immediate solution to my problem before elevating my complaint to next high level. Thank you for your attention.
