I bought a Philips VR1010B PH01 S-Video VCR not more than 4 months ago.

Today it no longer works... no video & no audio. Philips wants $30 to exchange the VCR. This is a extravagant charge considering everyone would expect a VCR to last more than 4 months without needed repairs. Do not buy Philips products. Their warranty isn't worth much. Andrew Faber
