RE: Sony Vaio RX672 Desktop PC - trouble with new PC

I recently purchased a Sony Vaio Model RX 672 desktop computer. Features include 2A Ghz Pentium 4 processor, 120 GB partitioned hard drive etc. After one month of use the keyboard failed to respond. After hours of searching I finally found a number to call a Sony Technician.

Following his directions I had to do a complete system restore. With that problem resolved and my files again restored the computer worked but was very slow to load web sites or programs.

Another call to Sony helped with this problem somewhat. With the Pentium 4 processor and the other features on this computer it should smoke through the web sites. Well, today for some unexplained reason, this computer began making a buzzing noise in the processor. I again called Sony and was advised that I would have to do another system restore.

Once completed and booted up the computer is still making the same noise. Another phone call and I was informed that I would have to send the computer back to a service repair center and that it would be repaired with refurbished parts. I did not pay $2399 to own a computer with refurbished parts.

This computer is a lemon. If all Sony products are as poorly constructed....I will never own another. Anyone who is considering the purchase of a Sony product ..beware. The service after the sale is poor to say the least!
