RE: Circuit City, Newington, CT - Compaq Presario laptop purchase with extended warranty - troubles
I am warning everyone not to buy any products or extended warrenties from any Circuit City. Ever since I bought an item from this store I have been having nothing but problems that can not be solved and no one can help me.
This past June I purchased a Compaq Presario laptop and bought the extended warrenty for it. Every since then I have been having problems with the computer.
With in the first month the hard drive broke and I had to send it out to be replaced. Two weeks later I recieved my computer and thought the problems were over.
Not until a couple months later the sound card broke along with the USB port. So once again I went back to hell and they sent it out for me. It took almost 3 weeks until I got a call from them saying it was back. I couldnt wait to go to the store and pick my computer up. I thought to myself finally my computer is as good as new.
So that day I rushed to Curciut City to pick my computer up. I waited in line for twenty minutes at the service desk and was helped by the worst worker. She completely ignored me and didnt inform me on where my computer was.
So I just stood there like an idiot wondering where my computer was while she tried to help the next customer. Finally the pms worker got my computer from the back counter and tossed it to the other side. I walked over and started to look at it before I left the store.
As I opened the package I realized that my computer was still broken and compaq wrote a letter saying that the motherboard was damaged and needed to be replaced and was not covered by the warrenty.
I was so angry at this time that I demanded to talk to some one. Ms. Attitude told me to talk to the person who sold me the computer. I said what good is a sales person going to do, so she then told me I dont know so she said i could use the phone in the middle of the store to call compaq manufacture company. I called them and was on the phone with them for an hour.
They didnt not help me, but they basically told me that it was in Curcuit Citys hands. So I demanded to talk to the store manager. They would not let me talk to the manager so I ended up leaving.
When I got home I called the store and asked to speak to the manager but the person who answered the phone said she was so I explained to her that my computer was not fixed and was still under the warrenty. She said it was compaqs decision and said there was nothing she could do and hung up on me.
That day I called compaq and Circuit City about ten times each and neither place could give me a straight answer. Basically I paid for the extended warrenty all for nothing and it doesnt enclude parts that break. So as of this day my computer that is not even a year old is still broken and Curcuit City claims they do not cover it.
So the vice president at the coorporate office of Curcuit Shitty is going to get a phone call and hear my complaints.
