RE: The Good Guys, Las Vegas, NV - problems with Yamaha HTR-5230 surround sound system
Several months ago we purchased a surround system from THE GOOD GUYS store in LV, NV. From the moment that we paid for the item we have had problems with the unit. As soon as we get one problem taken care of, another problem pops up.
We have been without our system working for months, and now the store has had our speakers in repair for a month ( this was supossed to take 1-2 wks) and they still aren't back. In the meantime, the speakers and amp that they didn't take back to fix, are still not working and is causing the unit to spike. The warranty now is almost up due to the dragging heels of THE GOOD GUYS.
We initially purchased the system because my wife is hearing impaired and my daughter is profoundly deaf, both need the surround system, but none of this seems to matter to YAMAHA or THE GOOD GUYS. This has made a dramatic impact on our family.
