RE: Genus Credit Management - trouble with service, debt reduction not managed better using service

Genus Credit Management misled me into believing they were reducing my debt. I was instructed to allow them to EFT my account beginning Sept 22, 1998. Payments were to be distributed to creditors ON A TIMELY BASIS. EVERY PAYMENT DUE WAS MADE TO GENUS ON TIME.

Proposals were submitted to creditors, to which I was not a party of. Genus will not allow me to have copies of the proposals. I did not receive statments from some creditors, and was told by Genus not to worry about it.

After 3 1/2 years I thought my debt would be at a level I could pay off, but I now owe one of the creditors more than I did 3 1/2 years ago, have paid more than I should have on many, and no one can explain why.

Although creditors say they sent me statments they did not. I can only assume the reason balances are increasing is because Genus paid the creditors late, causing late fees to be added to my account in excess of payments made. This is misrepresentation (reduce debts and pay on a timely basis) and fraud. I was able to get confidential (Genus-Creditor info only)information from one rep after being told by several reps that this information was not available-I have written documentation from Genus saying this is not available. This information validated two accounts as follows: Credit card 1

Proposal stated with a beginning balance of $1109.22 on 10/15/98, request payment of $20/mo, at 8% interest, payment will be disbursed 10 days after the 22nd of each month Program that into a financial calculator and I should owe an approx balance today of $480 after making 43 payments of $20. Credit card 2

Almost paid off, but realized something fishy

Proposal shows a beginning balance of $1227.06, 21% interest, $53/mo payments, to be disbursed 10 days after the 22nd of each month Account should have been paid off March 2001, but today, April 2002, I still owe $192----that's over $1000 more than I should have paid. What's wrong with this picture?

Our family could not be more pleased with the job Genus credit management did for us. It was a horrible time in our lives and they were there for us. Communication on both sides saved us. We were over $42,000 in debt to credit cards!

Thanks Genus
