RE: Allstate Insurance - trouble with auto accident claim I was hit by an Allstate customer on January 3rd while traveling with my husband and 3 month old daughter. (Fortuanely, my other two children were not in the vehicle.) The other party was doing 22mph over the speed limit and attempted an illegal pass on the left as I was turning into my driveway, striking the driver's side of my vehicle. She admitted to being in the wrong 100% and was cited by the police. I contacted Allstate on January 4th and filed a claim.
Allstate agent Tyler Langston did not contact me until January 24th, at which time he "paid me off" by sending me $600 for our injuries, which I naively accepted because due to lost wages from lack of transportation, I needed the money to keep a roof over my children's heads for the next month. Mr. Langston promised money for a rental car, and had my van towed for repair.
It's February 4th, and I am still without my van, and I have not heard from Mr. Langston in regards to money for a rental vehicle. I have no clue how I will be able to feed or house my children by the end of this month.
I am in the process of contacting my local newspaper in an effort to let others know of the "wonderful treatment" we have been shown by this company. At this point, I have 6 other people who have had similar dealings with Allstate who are also willing to submit their stories to the press. "Your in good hands with Allstate"? I think not.
Not when a joy-riding 18 yr. old is allowed to tear down everything a family of 5 has worked so hard to build up because her insurance company is too cheap to care.
