RE: Kentucky Fried Chicken, Plainview, Texas - unable to phone ahead order - rude service Dear Sir, I have finally had it with the KFC franchise in Plainview, Texas. I live 13 miles out in the country. Tonight at 7:45 p.m (3-31-02). I was going into town to pick up some other things so I decided to call Kentucky Fried Chicken on my cellular phone and place a phone order. After the phone rang for what must have been at least a couple of minutes an employee finally answered. The employee was talking to someone else, and did not acknowledge my call, he just picked up the phone so I asked if this was Kentucky Fried Chicken. The employee answered "uh uh" so I said that I wanted to place an order to go. The employee (a male) stated that they were not taking any more to go orders.
I asked why and he answered in a rude tone of voice, "we close at nine and we do not take any orders after eight." I stated that it was not eight o'clock yet, that it was only seven fourty-five. The employee hung up on me. Since I had promised my wife an order of wings, even though I was angry at the rude employe for hanging up on me, I went to Kentucky Fried Chicken anyway. I got there at 4 minutes after eight and even though there were no customers in front of me, I had to wait another five minutes to even place an order.
When I asked for, "four wings extra crispy, he stated, "the wings come in orders of six, nine, or twelve." I stated that I only wanted "four wings extra crispy." He responded, "we can't make a meal out of four." stated again, very slowly so there would not be any mixup in communications that I did not want a meal, I only wanted four chicken wings extra crispy. He became angry and rudely said, "I told you we don't have an order of four wings." I saw the wings on the preparation tray and I said, "can I have four of those?" He did not reply but angrily started throwing the wings in a box. I also had to tell him twice that I also wanted a small cole slaw and a corn. This is not the first time I have been treated rudely.
For Super Bowl we ordered a big bucket of extra crispy chicken and corn. The corn was ice cold when I got home. Apparently they had taken it out of storage and forgotten to even warm it up. This franchise has rude employees and once when my order to go was not prepared and I asked to speak to the manager, he practically called me a liar in front of other customers.
In a very rude and loud voice he said I did not place a to go order because they write them all down on the wall and there was no to go order with my name written on it. It is very unfortunate to have to put up with his poor service, rudeness and cold food.
Even tough it is probably not his fault, the manager has a very bad case of acne or something on the back of his neck and it just takes one's appetite away when one see's this. He should at least wear a bandana to cover up the ugly scars which, as I said, take your appetite away. I could not find a customer service web page for KFC (it is probably a good idea for them not to have one) I have sent this email to you hoping that it gets to KFC headquarters.
Thank you, David

Also if your Wife (bless her heart) wanted four wings why not take the 6 wings and you eat 2 or give them to your dog or if you don't like them or you don't have a dog throw them away..or better yet your Wife could suck it up and eat the extra 2 wings..I would personally rather have two extra to eat then be cheated out of two..and for you to even mention the acne part was rude and uncalled for, time to come in off the playground and be an adult..
