Complaints.com received the following e-message on April 27, 2001:

On several occasions a group of coworkers and I took orders and FAXED to the Blimpie on Memorial Blvd in Murfreeesboro, Tn only to be told upon arrival that they didn't get the fax because their machine was out of paper. I stated I recd a fax confirm so I know you got the order, I would not have gotten a confirm if you were out of paper.
The managers there filled our order begrudgingly. The next week we took orders and faxed before 10:30am as agreed the previous week. This Blimpie refused to take our order via fax and refused to fill it while we waited. The manager said he required his giving pre authorization to fill a fax order.
We complained to the Blimpie 800-287-1014 and recd $20. worth of Blimpie gift checks. This location does not accept these as payment even though the corporate office says these are the same as CASH. This location is not a corporate store and does not honor gift checks, however, when a coworker was in there getting her sandwich there was a woman in front of her with these same gift checks and after asking where she got them they honored hers, but not ours.
I have since called the above 800# and left messages and have not had the courtesy of a return call from Mr. Nick Campbell. He's some regional big shot Anyway , my co workers and I have $20. wroth of Blimpie checks and no place to redeem them and no satisfaction for the customer abuse we were dished. Please help us if you can.
