Stores, Home Improvement - Home Depot, near / in Pineville, LA poor employee attitude witnessed

The owners/managers of the Home Depot stores should do something about the attitude of their employees. I have NEVER seen such a "don't care" attitude toward customers. I have shopped at the one in Alexandria, LA several times, and have to hunt all over the store for a sales clerk to help me. It is the same in the Baton Rouge, LA store, where I go often when I am visiting my son there.

Yesterday, I needed information on some storage boxes, asked the young lady at the check out counter to get someone to help me. I waited near the boxes for 20 minutes and no help came. I could see the front of the store and counted NINE (9) employees standing in groups, laughing & visiting with each other. I finally went back to the front counter & asked if I was going to get help with the storage boxes. The same young woman just shrugged her shoulders. However, one young salesmen, who had been visiting with the others, said, "I guess I can try to help you".......very reluctantly. He answered the questions I had, then left me to pick up the heavy cartons & get them into my basket, which was not an easy task.....I am 70 years old & suffer severely with arthritis! I have even bought office furniture for my home at that store, but NEVER, NEVER again. Each time I have been to that Office Depot, there have been fewer & fewer customers......yesterday I counted 3 others. Word about their attitude is spreading fast in this area. I work part time for a local Credit Union and several of my coworkers have complained about the same type of treatment & have started doing their office supply shopping elsewhere, including the Manager of our Computer Section.
