Complaints.com received the following e-message on April 23, 2001:

Dear Complaints,
I'm writing about DoubleDiscount.com. I order 2 books from them back on 3/26/01. After not recieving anything for 3 weeks, I e-mailed them an inquiry ( they don't supply a phone number). I received back a general letter regarding shipping times. Not happy with their response, I faxed them with the same request, namely to find out where my order is.
They responded saying that I never supplied a shipping address but they sent the merchandise anyway and it was returned to them and they credited my account on 4/03/01. Well, when you place an order with them, you can't complete the order process without supplying all of the mailing information. Also, the credit didn't match the bill. I've placed a dispute claim with my credit card company not to pay them anything and would advise others to take their business elsewhere. There are many reputable vendors online but I don't believe this is one of them.
