Complaints.com received the following e-message on April 20, 2001:

RE: Cyberrebate.com - complaint To all: Be ware!!! I ordered happily on 12/3/00. I received my merchandise 12/7/00. The web site at the time stated rebates take btwn 10 - 12 weeks. I sent my rebates (all 5 in seperate envelopes with all proper documentation and original upc codes) on 12/20/00. I waited and waited, checked the web site time and time again. On 3/6/01 I saw 3 out of the 5 items in "complete" status, when I went into detail it stated a check would be issued on 3/23/01 or close.
The other 2 items were still "pending". I called and spoke to customer service. I stated what I had done, she asked me to send everything in again via mail including the original upc codes. I stated to her that I did that orignially and didn't have them. She told me to fax the order and the rebate information into them, at which I complied in mere minutes. On 3/14/01 I checked the web site again to see the same "pending" status. So I called again. The gentleman told me they had my information but it won't show until 3/15/01 on the site. Thinking I had done all I could I went on to other business. I did get my 3 checks 2 weeks AFTER 3/23/01. I went to the web site to figure where my other checks were in status to find that it states: REBATE EXPIRED. Imagine my surprise!
