RE: Silver Toyota Chipping/Peeling I have a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S in the silver color. Before I had 100 miles, I noticed the silver paint on the hood, front and rear bumpers began to chip, then peel. I understand that rocks can cause a certain amount of damage, but in contrast, we have a ten year old white Honda and it does not have such chips or peeling.
Toyota tells me it is caused by rocks, however, I believe the paint is not properly adhered to the body of the car. I would appreciate any comments from others with a similar problem and any information on problems with SILVER paint on cars.
