Sent To: Email User 9/13/00 10:40:37 AM I purchased a Silver Series mower about 5 years ago. Thought it would be my mower for 10-20 years. Purchase price was over $750. I have used it each season since. One year I did not even have a lawn for most of the season. After taking real good care of it, I spent $65 in repairs this spring. Now I find out that the follwing is wrong with it.

1) Transmission Out

2) Clutch Out

3) Engine does not have full compression

4) Electric Start Out (Already replaced once under warranty)

Estimated repair cost $400. I then purchase a new one for about $400 (JD). After thinking about the whole situation, decided something is not right here. I went out on the JD web site and posted a complaint. I got a response back from Marla that she would contact the dealer. After contacting the dealer, she was no longer interested in helping with repair costs because I had already purchased a new mower.

After trying to get Marla to call me for over a week, she called and said there was nothing she could do since I had traded the mower in already. When I informed her that I had the junk mower still in my garage, she said the reason was that it was over 5 years old.

I asked to speak with her boss and she said it would do not good and I could not. I then asked if there was somebody else I could speak with , she said no. After he attitude, I am now more upset than before. The dealer was even upset with her attitude.
