I received a business letter from Capital One threatening to suspend my department store credit card over two minimum payments of 10 dollars each.

Two months ago, I used the credit card to buy Christmas gifts. I had tried paying my first monthly balance online but it didn't go through when I checked after the fact. The total balance was only $135 when they to send the letter. I've remained a loyal customer to the

department store for nearly a decade and never missed a payment up to now.

I received two letters that day. One from Capital One and one from the department store. I didn't open the letter til a day later after I received a polite call from the department store about my missing payments. When I opened the Capital One letter, I immediately made a payment online and then attempted to contact either company to complain.

I talked to the department store customer representative and she explained it was procedure. Then I wrote a civil email to Capital One. Posted what I did on Facebook. Finally, I googled complaints online to get to here.
