Desert Palm Surgical Group (aka Carlotti Cosmetic Surgery) - Unfavorable Rating of Scottsdale Surgeons Albert Carlotti and Michelle Carlotti
Posted on Friday, August 9th, 2013 at 9:17pm CDT by Integrity 101
Product: Albert Carlotti and Michelle Cabret-Carlotti (aka Michelle Carlotti)
Category: Health, Beauty
I underwent surgery at Desert Palm Surgical Group (now known as Carlotti Cosmetic Surgery), with surgery performed by Albert Carlotti and Michelle Cabret-Carlotti (also known as Michelle Carlotti).
I was very disappointed with the outcome which left me inappropriately scarred. Carlotti alleges that I caused the scarring myself and accused me of secretly going to other doctors and having secret treatments that caused the scarring; I stand strong that did not happen, and facts and evidence support my words.
After previously sharing details of my experience, Carlotti sued me, alleging I was lying and alleges they had a decline in business because of me (even though alleged decline was right in time with the fall of the economy and elective surgery is one of the first things to go when income is down and jobs are lost). So, at this time, I will avoid specific details that Carlotti would dispute, and I stand strong that I absolutely did not lie, will not lie, and every word in this post is 100% true.
Carlotti won the lawsuit against me and achieved an atrocious and unjust judgment. They use this verdict as foundation that what they say is true, and as a tool to claim I lied. However, we all know that our justice system quite often does not get things right, and quite often, innocent people are a victim of our "justice" system. For example, Casey Anthony is walking the streets.
Carlotti boasts that they won the lawsuit as though it means they were truthful and that I lied. Just because someone wins a lawsuit doesn't mean they were truthful in testimony, or correct in their actions.
I can stand tall that every word I spoke during trial can be scrutinized and not one word would ever be proven untrue. I cannot say the same for Carlotti's testimony.
With our justice system, we have many criminals on the streets and many innocent people living in jail or suffering from inappropriate verdicts and judgments.
I received my clinical records from Carlotti and discovered many (and serious) inconsistent notations in my records which I stated were falsified, and I believe to this day that they were. I have no doubt.
Carlotti alleges they did not falsify my medical records, and somehow, a jury found in their favor when evidence did not support many of their statements. However, there are just certain things that, as Judge Judy would say, "if they don't make sense, they are not true!"
Just to give one example: I alleged that a falsified biopsy result was entered in my records. Three biopsies had been performed on my arm. Evidence exists for these three biopsies, including payment records for three biopsies, consent forms, and pathology reports which specifically identify each of the three locations on my arms, and notations in my records for the three arm biopsies. However, FOUR biopsy results were entered instead of three, with an unsupported "result" for a biopsy that Carlotti alleges he took on my left cheek.
Absolutely, no biopsy was performed on my left cheek at that time, no payment was made for the cheek biopsy, no clinical note exists that a cheek biopsy was performed at that time, no consent form was signed, no specimen was submitted to a lab for supposed cheek biopsy, and most glaringly, there is no pathology report from any lab to support this test "result" that was entered into my clinical notes.
You cannot get a test result without performing a test.
A doctor is not supposed to enter a biopsy result when no biopsy had been performed. A doctor is not supposed to enter a diagnosis or result without supporting tests and documentation; there can be no biopsy result without a pathology report. Yet, for Carlotti, there is nothing to substantiate this mysterious biopsy result, and a jury did not put two and two together.
This is only one of many interesting notations in my clinical records.
Public records of lawsuits can be found by visiting the Superior Court of Arizona website, and the Justice Court website of Arizona and/or Maricopa County, and entering someone's last name and business name. Carlotti has another LLC called Desert Palms Professional Properties.
I have been living a nightmare since surgery with Carlotti, and it is still ongoing because of litigation. I am now appealing the unjust verdict and pray that people with integrity will make the ruling.
My word of caution to anyone seeking cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery, or perhaps even medical care of any kind -- do your research. The Arizona Medical Board will tell you if a doctor is licensed, but complaints against doctors are not openly listed on the AZMB's website, and a physician's involvement in litigation is not listed.
Check the public records for litigation on any doctor you're considering. An excessive amount of litigation perhaps should be considered a red flag.
Also know that there is a difference between cosmetic surgeons and Board Certified Plastic Surgeons. Many doctors can and do perform cosmetic surgery and plastic surgery procedures -- and many doctors may be board certified by other boards or areas of expertise.
After what I've been through, I highly recommend only Board Certified Plastic Surgeons if you're considering any cosmetic or plastic surgery, and very importantly, check the public records for litigation before you select your doctor.
