Whirlpool - Steer clear of Whirlpool Appliances

I have a large (5445 sq ft) home which is filled with reliable Whirlpool appliances. But that's the old Whirlpool. My home of whirlpool appliances have been here serving faithfully for 19 years. Recently however, although it was still running fine with only minor problems after 18 years, my wife wanted to update our laundry with new appliances. Big Mistake! We bought a new matched laundry set by whirlpool (At Lowes) When the delivery guys removed the old set (Which we donated to a local charity and now wish we had the old units back), when we told them that the old set was still running just fine after 18 Years, the leader of the delivery replied, "THESE NEW ONES WON'T LAST THAT LONG". I asked why? He said because these old units are manual..the new ones are computerized"! Who would know better than the guys who deal with them daily. I wish we had met those two guys before we bought new whirlpool junk. Within 6 months the washer started making loud noises. We were not sure what to do about it so we kept hoping the problem would go away. We finally complained to Whirlpool but unfortunately, it was 15 days after the one year warranty expired. Folks, would you buy a set of new high grade appliances (Read expensive) if you believed they would only operate for 1 year? Warranties are only as good as the company issuing them. We expect a top shelf company to produce a good product. Alas, The new Whirlpool does not qualify. Whirlpool, as do the delivery guys of the shoddy product, know that they are selling beautiful glittering junk. I for example recently did some business with an actual "Good Quality Company"...Shark Vacuums. I had a problem with one of their products..and without question..didn't even ask when and where I bought it..they gave me 3 options to make it right, each of which were commendable. I chose letting them send me the latest model of their product, with free shipping, at a greatly reduced rate (I presume it was at cost).

My point and objective: TO LET POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS KNOW THAT THEY WOULD BE WELL ADVISED TO STEER CLEAR OF THE NEW JUNK PRODUCED BY WHIRLPOOL. Their junk is now only surpassed in degradation by the complete lack of customer service satisfaction/Ron
