I purchased a ticket, one-way, from Portland, Oregon to Staples, Minnesota. It cost me over $600 but I lost the ticket. I tried in vain to get my confirmation number for a replacement but when I gave what was I thought was the valid confirmation number, I didn't get any satisfactory answer. As a disabled person on Medicare, I was quite discouraged since I spent my entire monthly check on this ticket. My daughter passed away about 2 weeks later so this is so disappointing. Amtrak requires valid identification so whoever found the ticket won't be able to use it. I would like a trip, free of charge, to Oregon to see my children & grandchildren. Can anyone please help? Thank you.
