We bought a 2012 keystone passport from the sales manager at American rv. Paid about $30,000 with extended warranty( route 66) it was 3 hours from our house. The walk through was a fly through, it was almost closing time. The service dept workers left before we did. Our salesperson said our vehicle would have no problem towing it.

This was a 3180RE, our vehicle was a Toyota Tacoma , after we signed all papers. The service dept worker that hooked it up , said" you are pushing the tow limit" he knew it was too much. Sales manager was only concerned with the $$$$

They didn't include the bar that helps hook the chains on the hitch, we asked the next day if they would please send it. Well it was a month and a half later, after calling and emailing at least 4 different times, we received it finally. After arriving home, on the following day, we discovered a crack in shower dome, back blind would not go up or down, and another blind , one side had fell and screw came out, if the service people had actually inspected the trailer like they were supposed too, and repaired it before we left, knowing we lived over 3 hours away, we wouldnt be going through all of this .When we called, they said ,"oh yea just bring it in",we called and told them a date, they said ,"we will call when parts come in" ,we never heard from them and we actually was buying some awnings for 2 slideouts .and having a tv mounted in bedroom. We have emailed sales manager, service manager, and the owner of the company several times , even sent a message on the website. They Never Returned an email or phone call, they said they called , we have the phone records to prove it and there certainly wasn't any voice mails left. I made the mistake of stopping at American RV and trusting in the sales manager, who ever dreamed that after making a $30,000 sale, she would turn her back like we didn't exist. We live in Alabama, the nearest warranty service for keystone is Tuscaloosa AL 11/2 hour drive, Route 66 warranty in Anniston , AL. , about 3 hrs away, when we called Dandy RV in Birmingham , AL. They said they couldn't replace a cracked dome . Please don't make the mistake we did, we trusted, (our sales person(manager)

Stay clear of American Rv in Olive Branch ,MS, You are on your own when it comes to service , we realized later , we paid thousands more than we should have. Our loss , your Gain! Stay away !

You bought a trailer, your truck might be rated to tow 6500 lbs, the trailer shipping weight is 6100 lbs and allowed to carry an additional 1500 lbs. So if anyone had checked, your tow vehicle is overloaded once the battery, propane and awning are added.

It has some minor problems that ocure after a trailer gets towed and used a little bit. This should be delt with easily by the dealer. Why they did not?

I am going to guess that you are one of the few with a real basis for a lawsuit.

ood Luck
