Dell - Poor quality monitors from Dell

My husband and son bought me a Dell Inspiron 570 system in August of 2010 from A few days ago, the monitor went out. My son used a different monitor to ensure that the monitor was truly bad. After contacting Dell, the rep. informed me that my system only had a 1 year warranty. However, all of the monitors on Dell's website come with a 3 year warranty. I am beginning to think that Dell uses cheap parts. Neither the Dell technical rep. or the customer service rep were willing to send me a replacement monitor at no cost. Instead, I was offered one for a $20 discount (after complaining). The monitor was listed at $160. I believe Dell should replace my monitor at NO cost!
