Product: Samsung Galaxy S II
Company: New USA
Location: US
Category: Other
I purchased a new Samsung Galaxy S II less than two months ago. The phone worked just fine for a month, when it stopped charging.
The phone does not have any damage, not even a scratch. However, after sending the device to Samsung Support Center I was told the phone is "beyond economic repair". Which is Samsung's way of saying that even though I have not damaged it and it is still under warranty, there is nothing that can be done. Better buy a new one, they said. My problem- well my phone is actually new.
After talking for hours with customer service (very pointless DO NOT ATTEMPT) I was told that the warranty only covers manufacturing issues. To my question how is that not a manufacturing issue, they replied that it can be caused from anything-plugging the charger, unplugging it etc!.
Therefore, Samsung phones are manufactured so poorly that they can be broken from regular use after only a month. That's right-regular use, because in order to use the phone I have to plug the charger eventually.
To all of you out there reading this, DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT, unless you want to use it only for a month or less. Otherwise, you have to pay for insurance, because the warranty of the phone protects them, not your money spent.
