I entered the Hot Chocolate race in Chicago several months ago. The race is on Sunday at 7AM (way too early) and packet pickup was Friday and Saturday. I went on Friday afternoon, taking time off of work, thinking I'd beat the lines. Surprise. I arrived to a mess. Thousands of people in line and a 3+ hour wait! We all were standing outside, in November, in Chicago!!! This was all to pick up your sweatshirt and bib. Others complained that they received the wrong bibs as well. This is not a cheap race at $75 to enter. They promised the next day would be better, which apparently you only had to wait 1.5 to 2 hours instead of over 3. Never again will I do a RAM race.
