Home Depot sold me a junk warranty in the name of GE warranty together with a discontinued dishwasher. The Dish Washer has stopped working completely four times in the last 22 months and this time the technician could not even understand the problem. Following his visit on October 3, he ordered parts on October 8th and those did not arrive eve though several dates were promised; now the new estimated date is October 25th, 2012 but based on my past experience, I still do not expect the part to arrive. My complaint: I have lived with a non working dishwasher for so long because it continually stop and their contractors, Universal Appliances, can not fix it right nor was GE able to fix it in the first 12 months od manufacturers warranty.

Secondly, I purchased the dishwasher with installation on 11/26/2010. It was delivered and installed on December 28, 2010, but they claim unless I can provide the proof of date of installation, they will hold the warranty date starting from 11/26/2010. They have done exactly the same on my other extended warranty purchase. My conclusion: Home Depot cheats everyone on warranty dates across the board and changes the warranty contractors so that the consumers cannot force them to honor the warranty. After hearing from you, if I still remain unsatisfied, I will seriously consider a class action case using an attorney. This kind of behavior is unconsionable. I am without dishwasher for several weeks every time while GE points fingers at Home Depot who point fingers on an Insurance company who points finger on their contractor Universal Appliance who blame GE for not having the part to fix it.

I did not know so many big businesses could be so conceited; twice they sold me discontinued items without ever stating it as such, which honorable businesses are expected to state.

There are so many dishonorable elements of the sale:

a. Did not tell me the dishwasher was discontinued !

b. Sold me junk warranty!

c. After four repairs and dishwasher does not work. It never worked right from day-1.

d. Date of warranty is same as date of sale and not date of delivery/installation as required by law. Insurance chosen by Home Depot is giving me a run around.

e. Home Depot do it every time with everyone as inferred from customer service conversation ; some even argue it is right by law.

f. I want a good dishwasher of equal quality and features.

g. They should give the lemon dishwasher to GE.

h. I want an apology for misinformation and wrong warranty dates on three appliance two of which I negotiated with Rose, the supervisor, to correct unwillingly. All appliance buyer from home depot, check if your warranty starts from the date of installation or delivery; if not, make HD to fix it before it is too late; they are too slippery and will try to tire you out!

i. Why did I get hoodwinked thrice on the Warranty, because I could not ever imagine, Home Depot a nationwide company, could be doing such things and I trusted their sales man's word.
