We requested a Free Credit Card Report in July. However, Experian began charging $16.99 a month for Free Credit Card monitoring. Due to cancer surgery in September we did not notice the charges for August, September and October until the first week of October. On October 10 a call was made to Experian to get the unauthorized charges refunded. The Experian representative, Kaley, researched and discovered the mistake that was made and checked with a manager who authorized the last $16.99 charge but refused to authorize the other charges. As a result of this poor customer service by Experian we contacted the credit card company to dispute the unauthorized charges. Our recommendation is to not do business with Experian. There are other credit report companies that do not use such methods of deceiving customers when a Free Credit Card Report is requested.
