Pleasant Hill Recreation - Pleasant Hill Rec and Act.com scam

Complaint Description:
Last month I registered for class with Pleasant Hill Registration through their web site. The class was $30 and I was charged correctly. However, this month, I was charged $59.95 by a company called Act.com. It seems the small print (too small for me to read) on PHR's web site says that unless you UNCHECK a box, there will be an annual $59.95 fee for using their web site. When you call Act.com for a refund, they leave you on hold for a half an hour or more, then pretend they can't find your file and ask to transfer you to a manager. They transfer you in a voice mail box that is always full. When you call back and hit the button saying you'd like to make a donation, they pick up immediately! This was the only way to reach a human who would help and it took about an hour, all told to MAYBE get resolution. I still have to see if the refund comes through as they claim it would. ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Case is being handled by another organization: Act.com
