Product: Roofing

Company: Mann's Roofing & Waterproofing. LLC

Location: 5023 Bowden Road Jacksonville, FL 32216

Category: Building, Construction

A new roof was installed on my home by Mann's Roofing and Waterproofing, LLC on MAY 09&10,2012. I paid the full amount due upon completion of the job. Mann's Roofing did not pay their supplier, Gulfeagle Supply, and now Gulfeagle Supply is demanding payment from me, placing a lien on my home. This is not my debt and I should not be held accountable for payment.

It is legal for a subcontractor to place a lien on your property because the general contractor did not pay him for work completed. You always need to communicate with the subs DURING construction to make sure this does not happen.
