City of Chicago - Permits to take pictures at parks/museum grounds

I recently learned that the City of Chicago requires its residents to purchase individual permits to take photos at the parks/museums. I recently was married and was taking celebratory pictures outside of Buckingham Fountain and at the Planetarium and was notified. I find it absolutely criminal that residences whose taxes go to pay for these city facilities are charged for stepping foot on the grounds for pictures. I hope this gets traction and the city changes this lunatic policy. We pay enough in taxes. Let us enjoy the simple pleasures of living here!
