Purchased a 50cc scooter from this company.On their web site (www.greenearthscooters.com) they promise up to 1 year warranty (depending on assembly/parts) including unlimited customer support.

After I finally received and started assemblying it ,noticed many scratches and dents on the body,several gas hoses arrived disconnected as well as bad tires and other bad parts.On top of this, the scooter's engine stalls after about 20 seconds of operation.Will have to take it to a repair shop to figure out what is wrong with it.

Tried constantly to contact them via phone (which they never answer) as well as email.Got a couple of replies to my emails asking me to read the user manual and/or promising they (whoever replied to my message was anonymous) will forward my inquiry to their 'customer support' and customer support will contact me which they never did until now.

Note that their return policy is 7 days after receiving the item (it takes as much to assemble it) and even then the customer is responsible for shipping the item back to them (which probably costs almost the same as one of their 50 cc scooters).

According to information in the BBB files, it appears that the company is no longer in business. The phone numbers the BBB had for this company are disconnected, and directory assistance does not have a listing for this company. The BBB's mail to this company has been returned as undeliverable. If you have an unresolved dispute with this company you may wish to seek legal advice.

They are cheap but if you care about your money it's better to pay a bit more and get a real scooter and not an ongoing problem!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, first of all we are not AA Powersports and neither is our business address this King Williams place, so no wonder the numbers that are posted along with this other business and address are disconnected, the information is wrong.

Yes, we still are in business, otherwise how would I be answering this email or could you have received your scooter. Also, nowhere on our site is there a BBB logo, so do not know what that is about? I guess even the almighty BBB can be wrong sometimes, not surprising as nobody governs them, who watches over them?

Anyways, we post all of our policies on our website and also on every single items main description page, the main page so you have to read it, not hidden in fine print. It says, BUY WHOLESALE/WAREHOUSE DIRECT, RECEIVE THESE UNITS EXACTLY AS A DEALER DOES, BUT BYPASSING THE DEALER/MIDDLEMAN MARKUP. Now in doing this, we also say on the site that you are responsible for the set up that a dealer would perform and this is a copy of exactly what it is on our website, on every single scooters main page.............Warranty: We offer a one year warranty on Motor and frame, and an additional Parts warranty. Warranty is for manufacturer defective parts, not labor, if you have a part that is defective we will give you a replacement part at no charge, you are just responsible for a modest $14 shipping and handling fee. We have live technical support available to our customers free of charge by phone or email with our trained service techs for any questions or help you need. See warranty page for more details.

Some Assembly required: The Bike are completely assembled in the factory and fully tested. Front wheel, Battery, handle bar, and the rearview side mirrors are removed after testing. Item will be shipped in a crate, to assemble, put the above items back on. When ordering you will have the option to have this done for you and have this unit come to you pre-assembled from the factory. (Normally a $100 upgrade, Now on sale for only $50 extra!). Make sure you read and follow the PDI Guide that will be in your confirmation email receipt sent to you after you order. For safety precautions, be sure to check and tighten all nuts and bolts prior to use. Change your oil and Be sure to check for appropriate engine fluid levels to ensure your vehicle is operating under the recommended conditions prior to use, any additional questions please call our tech support.

Remember! You are buying the smart way, factory direct, saving yourself HUNDREDS of dollars compared to a local dealer, so you are responsible for performing the setup that a dealer would normally perform - such as putting on rear view mirrors, hooking up the battery, checking tightness of all nuts and bolts, changing oil, etc. Occasionally some units may need other routine items checked/adjusted such as adjusting the carburetor idle and mixture screws, checking to ensure wires are well connected, adjusting chain slack and alignment, if needed. May we suggest that if you cannot or do not feel you can perform these tasks yourself then any small engine mechanic, (ie. lawnmower repair shop, "Joe's Small Engine Repair") should be able to help you with first time setup (normally only about $40 to $50) and for any future labor needed. Just let them know we have the parts if needed to supply them and We will gladly assist you with any technical questions.

So I say that is pretty straight forward. Now we sell over 2,000 scooters a month and ship them all over the country to people and have been for 7 years now. We honor our policies and always have. We have live service techs you can talk to and always have. We will send out any part you need under warranty, just as we promised we would and just as you read. Our warranty is 1 year on the engine. 3 months on manufacturer defective parts. So any part that fails, within the warranty time frame, due to manufacturer defect, we will replace for you at no charge and we always have. Just look at the hundreds and hundreds of comments from satisfied customers on our website. Instead of this ONE bad comment from a guy who obviously did not read the policies before buying, but who we will still help and honor our policies just as we promised and send any parts needed under the warranty.

Upfront about it and fair policies and pricing seems like a pretty good company to do business with, just like our thousands and thousands of happy customers think.
