Company: Target Store

Category: Stores, Shopping

His first name is Doug. He would not give me his last name. I purchased a

Fourth Season of Dexter and when I put the disk in the drive it read bad

disk. Today I took it back and exchanged it for another one. Same thing

happened again. I called the store and after repeating my problem , I was

now talking with the manager (Doug) again repeating it. Doug did not listen the first time I told what happened and kept asking if I'd exchanged the first one. Then he said there was nothing they could do about it and had I called the manufacturer yet. Excuse me but I do not feel it is my job to call the manufacturer on this. I do believe it is the store's responsibility to handle their own merchandise, am I correct or is this your policy? He was VERY abrupt and did not want to deal with my problem, it was pretty clear. I ask if there was anyway to be compensated for the two trips and now three (which are roughly 20 miles each way) to get this item returned or again exchanged for another one. Flat out NO, he said there was nothing he could do about it. We own a business and honestly, if someone comes to us about a situation such as this, we are more then happy to oblige in some way. He was very off-handed and not willing to even listen or make the customer, myself

feel good about anything. I am discouraged about this ordeal. I have been a great customer of Targets for all the time this store has been there. I do not feel I deserve such treatment over something that really shouldn't be left on my shoulders to fix and that should be compensated in some small way. At least have the courtesy to listen and speak with a professional manor and with some concern. Right now I have little interest in ever shopping at this store again. Shelley
