Not exactly sure of date, but very close. They had a free installation sale. Came out to house. We looked at flooring from $.99 sq/ft to $2.99 sq/ft. Area to be covered 356 sq ft. Was told we needed to buy 380 sq ft., and that was O.K. They must think we are idiots ! Came back with price of $2600.00 !!!! That's almost $7.00 sq/ft !!! Sales jerk pretended he had to call his boss three different times to get his best price. What a dog and pony show ! I've been selling for 45+ years and know every trick in the book - these guys are shysters ! Kicked him out. Then called BBB to complain. They said since no money changed hands, we couldn't register a complaint ( even though we had a written estimate ! I told the BBB lady she was nuts if she thought we were going to give them any $$$ for such a ridiculous proposal. This is why Empire has such a clean rating with the BBB - and they won't do anything about it because Empire is one of their best clients ! It's all bull-hockey !
