We purchased a King Koil mattress for $1,500 and the mattress had a 15 year warranty. The

mattress sank on both sides within a few years and has become very uncomfortable. We forgot

about the warranty and went mattress shopping at Art Van Furniture where we made our

original purchase. They listened to our situation and offered to send a service technician

to look at possible replacement under warranty.

The service representative visited our home and said that the mattress is definately

defective on one side of the bed and very close on the other; however, he said that since

there was a small stain on the opposite side of the bed, the entire warranty is void.

We are just sick that we spent so much money on a King Koil mattress. The mattress is

clearly defective and a stain is no reason to absolve them from their responsibility to

deliver, and back, a quality product - especially at that price. The terms of the warranty

are probably spelled out clearly, so we've learned a hard lesson.

Needless to say we will not be purchasing a King Koil product.

If you wish, you may contact them directly at 800-552-3340 or 586-293-4000 and ask for customer service. They can assist you in filing a warranty claim and determining whether your mattress and/or foundation are defective. If you have any other questions or problems, please let us know.
