District hotel - Card debited

Sir,

I booked one room in your hotel on booking.com for Saturday 12 February. It was one room for 4 people which cost $89 before taxes.

When we arrived you told us to go to the Windsor Inn, 1842 16th Street Washington, because you did not have available room anymore. The transfer was easy, you paid us the taxi and you explained that we will pay the same price even if we go to an another hotel.

However I checked my bank account tonight and I discovered that it has been debited twice. One time by you, the other time by the Windsor Inn. I do not understand why I have to pay you whereas I did not sleep in your hotel. I am sure this is just a mistake due to the mess caused by the renovation of your hotel but I would like to be refunded very soon.
