After driving for 5 hrs, I went to check into the Hampton Inn and Suites in Stamford, CT. I had booked a hotel room through Hotels.com. I requested a smoking room cause my friend smokes. I booked a hotel with 2 beds, a balcony, and a smoking room. When we went to check in, they did not have the room. I called hotels.com and they said they would book another room. When we punched it into GPS, it was 15 miles away. We couldn't do that, so we called to cancel. It was only 10 minutes later. They are trying to keep 400.00 for not staying at the hotel, when it was their fault. I didn't even know I was on this site. I clicked on a hotel site and booked without even knowing this was a hotel site. I am fighting with them for the 400.00 and I will not stop. They are a rip off. They probably do this so they can keep people's money.
