When buying produce at this stand there are no prices posted for anything so the customer is at a disadvantage from the beginning. Then I proffered 2 $5 for my produce which added up to $9. I then ran back for 4 pickling cucumbers which raised my total to $13.48. I keep my $20 bills in a different bill fold so I got that out and retrieved a 20. I foolishly gave her a 5 and counted out what I thought was 48 cents since I had a bunch of pennies to get rid of. She took the $20 dollar bill and the $5 dollar bill and the changed and immediately said "you only gave me 38 cents." It was hot and humid and one of the dimes had stuck to my palm. I unstuck it and gave it to her and she gave me $2 change. I stood there and she closed the drawer. Another clerk had been standing there fixing bags at the time. "I gave you a 20, I need 10 back." Russian girl said,"No you did not." Other girl said, "you didn't I was watching, you need to move." Long story short...After 1/2 hour arguing they finally called the boss, Eris who gave me some song and dance about so many people complaining about this very thing that they now have to key in what they have been given and say it out loud and she had keyed in $15.48. I told her it had not been said out loud and maybe they were having so many complaints because someone was skimming off the top. I got my $10 back after they counted the drawer that night. My warning is to watch out for the Russian girl and ask for the price of everything before they add it up.
