Body By Jake - Tower 200 - !!!SCAM!!!

Late last year I purchased the Tower 200 from Body By Jake. I opted for the Monthly-Auto-Pay option. After what seemed like months; the gym arrived. Within a few months one of the plastic heads on (Black) cable snapped and almost broke my foot! I called and after getting transferred around, a rep told me that I had the gym for more then 30 days; so there is no warranty. But after telling her that the cable almost broke my foot; she said she would send it out. Weeks later I called, and nothing had been shipped. Finally someone shipped the replacement cable. Within a week or two of that; (ANOTHER) plastic cable end snapped! This time a (Red) one, but luckily it broke down the middle and missed my foot. Since then I just stopped using it. Today out of no where; I get a letting threatening me that I owe another $93.06! Which I already paid for this horrible gym! No one bothered to call me or even email me; they just started sending me threats?! There is no real Customer Care over at Body By Jake; it's just Call Centers that sometimes have people that know what product they are selling. So I don't have anyone to speak to about this. But I already paid for this worthless, hunk of junk gym and I'm not going to pay some other fees that they just dreamed up! If they want to play this game; then I want to just send it back and get a FULL refund. I would rather send it back anyways, because a person would have to not have any sense of danger to use the Tower 200! It's built with cheap Chinese knockoff parts, that when they break; can do an insane amount of damage! The Red cables have, what they claim 50LB's of resistance. Which is good for a solid gym, but horrible when your dealing with something built On-The-Cheap.

I have purchased other Body By Jake products, but NEVER AGAIN! I didn't know customer care was this much of a problem. Nor did I know billing issues would just magically come up, and that BBJ would just send harassing letters!

DO NOT BUY THE BODY BY JAKE TOWER 200!

Reasons Not To BUY:

1. It's Dangerous! The Gym is Built-On-the-Cheap; Meaning They Built It With The Cheapest Possible Parts!

2. The Cost Is Over $200! And Just Like Every Other Body By Jake Product I Have Purchased; They Make You Pay Extra For Pieces That Should Be Included.

2. The Bolts And Screws Have No Markings On Them; Which Means They Are Not Certified To Even Work.

3. They Use Parts That Are So Cheap They Just Break. Mine Broke Under Normal Workouts. They Even Use Clamps That Are So Small, That You Can't Safely Use Multiple Bands Like They Say You Can. I Guess You Can, But Mine Broke With Just 2 Bands. So Using 3 Is Crazy!

4. There Is No Real Customer Care. There Is No One That Is Willing To Really Help You Out. Like Most Call-Centers; They Want You Off The Phone As Quickly As Possible. That Means Getting Transferred And Waiting On Hold For Long Periods Of Time.

I Could Go On, but What's The Point? I Would Just Recommend That You STAY AWAY From Body By Jake! And Monitor Your Banking Account!!! Who Knows How Many People Have Been Scammed And Had Money Taken From BBJ; That Wasn't Even Owed! I Already Paid Off My Gym And Now They Want More Money!!!

I (ALREADY) Paid Off My Gym! You Sold Me A Worthless Gym That Almost Broke My Foot And Now You Want Even More Money? Am I Suppose To Pay For The Gym 10-Times Over?!?! You Should Have Stopped While You Were Ahead! I Had Stopped Using The Gym And Just Excepted The Fact That I Was Scammed And Ripped Off. But Then You Threaten Me; Asking For Even More Money! How Much Greed Can 1 Company Have?

I have been using the Tower200 for over a year and a half, almost everyday. I have never had a problem other than normal wear. Very pleased with the Tower and the results.

I just purchased the gym 3 days ago. 5 exercises in and the eyelet snapped causing the strap to flick back hard and plastic peaces to fly back at my face. I have a nice scrape on my arm to remind me not to use this peace of crap. My misses run into the room thinking the worst. Looking at the plastic you can easily see what the problem is... air bubbles in the molded plastic, imperfections!

Well I plan to keep the frame but i am replacing all the pulleys, and eyelets b4 with steel.

You have a door, use it and drive to the gym!

I bought the Tower 200 on ebay a few months ago. No probs with delivery etc but within a week the height adjustment mechanism broke and came down with such force that it broke part of the support frame. I managed to fixed it with tech screws and then a week later one of the pulley seized up and needed another trip to the hardware for repair. very disappointing as it's not a bad idea in principle

I have had my Tower 200 almost one year. About 2 weeks ago the 40lb red plastic hook snapped in half causing the band to shoot back to the door. Luckily no injuries. Then last week the same occurrence happened with the 35lb black plastic hook snapping in half. I called to get new hooks and they told me that I have to order the whole band with the hooks on them at $19.95 for the red, $17.95 for the black and $14.95 for the grey. I enjoyed using this product until this happened and now I lost all trust in this product from a safety standpoint and an integrity standpoint. Who knows if I order new bands how long they will last and also the potential of getting injured.

Dude. Are you stupid??? I'm not only a mechanic but a metal fabricator. I have a tower 200 and I promise you unless you got a lemon persay. The only reason it broke is because you used it wrong. I've used all three bands 100s of times and no trouble. None. Zero. As in you used your product wrong. And when I called to get heavier bands. They sent them. No questions asked. Grant it I paid for them but still. As for them calling you with threats and what not. I do not believe it one bit. No

Company in their right mind ships a part without payment. IE. That's the reason you don't see COD anymore. Your whole review was nothing but hogwash. Your probably just pissed off you couldn't get the results without working for them. Look. Anyone reading this review should know. This product just like 90% of all the other home gym items will work if used correctly. And just like everything thing else in life. If you take care of your shit. It will take care of you.

Im glad I read this. I was thinking of buying it and I go to the gym regularly and saw it could have potential. After reading how it was a piece a crap I can understand. Also the website sucks theres no way on there that has a price of how much it cost, all there is is trials. I don't know why Randy would throw his name on the line for junk? I hope something worked out for you in the end
